Credentials: Certified Hospitality Administrator (CHA), Member of ASITA (Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies), 20+ years in Indonesian luxury hospitality.
Bio: Budi is the visionary behind Komodo Yacht Hire and a director at our parent company, Juara Holding Group. After a distinguished career managing some of Indonesia’s most iconic five-star resorts for groups like Aman and Four Seasons, Budi saw an opportunity to bring a new level of professionalism and curated luxury to the phinisi charter industry. His passion for Indonesian culture and his extensive network across the archipelago are instrumental in shaping our unique guest experiences. David Miller
Head of Fleet Operations & Safety
Credentials: RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean 200gt, STCW 95 Certified, PADI Rescue Diver, 25 years of international maritime experience.
Bio: Originally from Australia, David brings a lifetime of maritime experience to our fleet. Having captained superyachts across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Southeast Asia, he possesses an uncompromising commitment to safety and operational excellence. David personally oversees the vetting and auditing of every yacht in our portfolio, ensuring they meet and exceed international safety standards and our own rigorous criteria outlined in Our Methodology. He is responsible for all crew training programs and the implementation of our emergency response protocols.
Ratna Sari

Credentials: Certified HPI (Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia) Senior Guide, PADI Divemaster, Degree in Marine Biology from Universitas Hasanuddin.
Bio: Born and raised on the island of Flores, Ratna has an intimate connection to the land, sea, and culture of the Komodo region. Her knowledge of the park’s hidden coves, secret snorkeling spots, and the best times to view wildlife is encyclopedic. Ratna works directly with our clients to design bespoke itineraries that match their interests, whether it’s a deep dive into marine biodiversity, a focus on cultural immersion, or simply finding the most secluded and beautiful beaches.
